Report from Round 2 – Woolfox

G’Day All,

The second round nearly ended up a bit of a blunder, but thanks to Alison & Nick, they sorted out deal with the clubhouse at Woolfox.  Due to the good old English weather, the course could only offer 12 holes for us to play, understandably the numbers reduced, but 11 brave souls confirmed.

The day turned out really nice in the end, with the sun making an appearance here and there.  At one point I had to take my fleece off.

A big thanks to all who persevered. Always enjoy the company.

On to the good stuff

Nearest the pin went to Alison Hubbard.

Nearest the pin in 2 went Alex Parker.

Great shooting to you both!

Runner up on the day, on count back went to Malcolm Day. Well done mate.

Winner’s trophy went to yours truly! I didn’t think I was even in the running.

Captains prize this month goes to Malcolm Day

Malcom was taking his 2nd shot on hole 3.   Apparently, Malcolm addressed the ball with his 3 wood, took his shot, and was tracking the path of his ball, but to no avail, he could not see his ball.  After some deliberating, the ball was found where it originally lay, right in front of his stance! I hope that stroke was counted Malcom. 😊

Once again, thank you too all.

Many thanks,

Steve Wenta
