Thank you to all that turned up for the trip to Pavenham, some of us made it even with the road closures.
As usual we were looked after very well with the bacon roll and coffee to start the day off. Then down to the golf, nice easy 1st hole until you got to the green. Well most of the greens on the front 9, great fun putting and a test of skill. The eventual winner nearly had a meltdown, 3 putts were common on the tricky slick greens.
Winners on the day
* Nearest the Pin went to Chris Searle, must have been a good shot but I think my shot may have started closer but rolled back down the slope.
* Nearest the Pin in 2 went to Steve Foster. Tricky 2nd shot with only being able to see the top of the flag.
Runner Up was Steve Foster with a creditable 33 points, well done Steve.
Winner on the day with 34 points was Paul Jones. lovely steady stress free round, he said he could have had 40 points if it wasn’t for the greens.
Captains Prize. Stuart Wren for getting a sulk on after being out driven by Paul Jones someone who is nearly twice his age. Good banter in the clubhouse about this
It was nice to see a good turnout again.
