Spain Report

Sorry for the late report but the stand in Captain for the weekend has had a double busy workload since we returned, however here it is,

Another successful overseas trip by the EGS.

I knew all the party had arrived safely at Stansted when a tanoy announcement came across asking for the Sheldrake’s to return to check-in. In their excitement a boarding pass and passport had been left behind.

Transport, hotel and location were superb.

Golf  Courses, well what can I say. A test for us all with the chairman making the most and teaching those who he played with to use the buggie tracks to gain extra length or position.

Early start on the 3rd day meant we left with Dawn rising, mind you nobody remembered bringing Dawn back to the hotel or would admit to it. Hats off to some of the gang who stayed out later than most, a special thanks to uncle Zane looking after the youngsters or was it the other way round, hard to say.

Instead of doing a blind draw on each day we did a pairs competition to run for the three rounds with all 3 scores from each player counting, see the results sheet for how it worked.

Martyn Ray won the 2’s on 3’s on the 2nd round but somehow left the money under the mattress at the hotel, nice tip for the maids.

Important stuff now.

Overall Winner – Steve Tatham

Runner Up – Nick Syer

Click here for the table contains all the daily winners, NTP and Longest Drives.

Will be sending out an email soon updating plans for next years trip.

Happy winter and chilly golfing.
