Next year, if I am still Chairman, there will also be a prize for Nearest the Chairman as it now seems a set part of any EGS golf day. Today’s winner would have been Jared Sharp but he disqualified himself by actually shouting fore so the winner was Nick Syer. Next year’s winner gives £10 to Macmillan.

A great day was had by all and a big thank you to Rob Syer for all the organising along with his team of helpers, all the sponsors, Bar Hill hotel and golf course for really looking after us and for all the teams who turned up especially those who came from pretty far away.

I’d also like to thank Hugh Corrigan, a former colleague of mine from LUL. Hugh won the first prize in the raffle an promptly gave the £200 to Macmillan. Great gesture Hugh, much appreciated.

The amount raised on the day for Macmillan was £3,156.00 so a brilliant total for a brilliant cause!

Next year’s day has been booked for 20 June 2020 so get it in your diary now!!
