No results that matter from this one as due to so called bad weather! I decided to cancel the official society day to Aldwickbury.
A few die hards however (myself included) decided to make the trip to Aldwickbury after being told by the Pro that the course was playable and open to those who wished to brave the weather, so eight of us named below, set off as two fourballs on what turned out to be although a bit chilly at times quite an enjoyable afternoon.
We decided that although we wouldn’t be playing for Race to Dubai points or EGS trophies that we would all stake £5 each and play for that, we split the pot £30 to the winner and runner up £10 surprisingly (or not) even though he probably has never played in the snow before our resident Aussie took the £30 pot with a score in the high thirties (as usual) and old Steve “Steady Eddie “ Foster took the £10 with another score in the thirties.
Finally, I would just like to thank those below who braved the weather and hopefully had a good day at Aldwickbury.
The mad Taff
Hopefully weather permitting I will see everyone at Oundle next month.
