First of all I would like to say thank you to all those who attended the early start at Heydon Grange.
After our trip here last year in some arctic conditions the weather this time was a bit more favourable with blue skies and sunshine but still a chill in the breeze. The course was in decent condition for the time of year which was reflected in the scores and as I didn’t hear any complaints on the day I am assuming that everyone who attended enjoyed the day.
As for the golf on the day there were a lot of good high scores and a few in the forties and a couple of scores in the high twenties, all in all a very good day’s golf.
Winners on the day were,
Nearest the Pin – This was won by Andrew Gipson, who for those of you who didn’t meet him was our guest for the day a friend of Steve Foster.
Nearest the Pin in 2 – This week went to Kev “I’m in between clubs here “Ashton. Well played Kev but should have been a lot closer with your second.
Longest Drive – This week goes to our resident Globe Trotter Nick Gabb.
Captains Prize – This was awarded to last year’s Capt. Nick Pedlar, who played a fine shot to the green only to find it was the wrong green and then failed to bluff it out with his playing partners. Better practice that poker face Nick.
Second place on the day with a great score of 42pts went to Kev Ashton (Have a look Andy he needs a cut)
First place on the day with an outstanding score of 43 pts. Was Chris Searle (Another one who needs a cut?)
Well played to all the winners. Race to Dubai table is at the bottom.
Next outing will be Aldwick bury Park Golf Club 17th March the usual email will be doing the rounds soon please respond early to avoid disappointment .
Don’t forget 17th March is St Patrick’s Day, just so you all know in advance your Capt. Is partial to a nice pint of Guinness or two
